The thing that threw me off at first was throwing it on these bars, the bolts here, which we tested it out with just some Malone bars that we had out. So the spacing area, I don't know if you can tell there, but the way those bolts strapped down, they kind of get pushed out. They're not quite wide enough for standard aero bars, even Malone's aero bar. So I think it'd be fine for square bars and round bars, but all the aero bars that we've tested down here so far, which are Malone, N O 00:00:31, Rhino Rack, and Thule, they all push themselves out a little bit. Now it's got a secure fit on there, but that's something I'm going to point out to the customers that it's fine. It just looks a little goofy. more

Rhino-Rack Mountain Trail Rooftop Bike Rack Review - 2020 Mazda CX-30- Video

Adam: What's going on everybody Adam at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Rhino-Rack Mountain Trail roof mounted bike rack on our 2020 Mazda CX-30. So in my opinion, this is going to be a great way just to get one bike to and from your destination with our CX-30 here, just because it's not necessarily a really tall vehicle.So with a roof rack system on it, it's very, very easy to get even the maybe more heavier bikes up and on to our rack. It's something you could do by yourself obviously, we only have one here. But we can do plenty of these bike racks on this roof rack system. So if you have a friend, grab two of them, you can put them on both sides and you guys will both be able to easily lift this up and load it up yourselves.So one thing that I thought of when I pulled the CX-30 into the shop, it's pretty attractive looking. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima HighSpeed roof-mounted bike rack on our 2020 Mazda CX-30.So this bike rack is going to be great for not only just your fork mounted bikes, but also your thru-axle bikes. We're going to have some options when it comes to which skewer we can use for what kind of bikes you guys have, which is definitely a plus. It gives you all those options for your bikes and also some wheel adjustability to accommodate for all those different wheel bases that you might be carrying. And also with the way that it secures down to our bars, we're going to be able to use a wide variety of bars. We have some aerodynamic bars that we have here, but even if you have round bars, square bars, pro bars, something like that, even the BedRock HD bars, they are going to clamp around there really, really easily.So right when the CX-30 pulled up, I really liked the look of it and especially the look of the back end of it. more

What really sets this bike rack apart is the fact that it is a no frame contact, but also, literally no tools we're used to install this onto our system. It was really quick and easy to get the bike onto the rack and secured down, and it was also really easy to get it secured to our bars here. So if you guys have a roof rack system on your CX-30, I do think this is going to be a great way just to get one bike to and from wherever you guys need to be going. This is an axle mount, as you can see, we have our front wheel removed. Simply toss this in the back, makes it easier to load our bike on top of our roof, without the weight of the front wheel. It would seem like it doesn't add that much, but it actually does. We've installed some up here that you have to lift the entire bike up and removing the front wheel does make a significant difference.This is a great way to get our bike to our favorite destination, without having to try to figure out how to fit it into the rear hatch area of her vehicle. more

John: Hey guys, John here from etrailer.com. Today we have our 2019 Toyota Tacoma, we're test fitting the Inno Tire Hold II Roof Mount Bike Rack. This is a great way to get your bike to your favorite destination without taking up your truck bed space or adding a hitch mount bike rack to the end of your vehicle and adding length to it. The Tire Hold II can hold up to a 50 pound bike with a max tire width of two and three quarter inches, it can accommodate up to a 29 inch diameter wheel and a 48 inch wheel base. Your wheel base is going to be from a center of one axle to the center of your other axle.I would like to point out that this bike rack does come with a cable lock, wrap it around your bike and feed it in through this hole here, which this latch will come over the end of the cable lock and secure your bike to the bike rack.Let's get our bike down and then we'll give you some dimensions and see how this bike rack interacts with the Tacoma specifically. If you'd like to know I'm about six foot tall and since our Tacoma sits higher, I do need to get a step stool to safely remove the bike from the pickup. more

What this is going to do, it's going to allow you to mount your bike to the roof opposed to having a hitch mounted bike rack and also have plenty of space to mount any other cargo that you might be carrying, a roof rack basket or any sort of kayak carrier. You can even slap a couple more of these on there to get multiple bikes on top of your vehicle.This does have two different tie down points for your bike. First you're going to have your front fork faceted into this rack. Then on top of that you have a little wheel cradle back here with a little zip tie style strap with a little bit of rubber boot to protect your wheel from any damage or anything like that.This is going to be able to basically accommodate for any type of roof rack system you have. more

This is a bike rack that mounts to your roof rack, and allows you to get your fat tire bike all the way to destination. It's going to grip your bike by the wheels, so you're not going to have to worry about any frame contact occurring with your fat tire bike. What's unique about it, is that it has two arms that basically sandwich the tire to make sure that it's secure.Now the great thing about the two arm system with this bike rack, is that a lot of other fat tire bike racks just have that one hook that comes up, and then ratchets down on top of your tire. Review of Rhino Rack - Roof Rack - RR43233- Video

Today we're gonna take a look at the 15 millimeter through axle bike carrier for the Rhino Rack Pioneer platform roof tray. Now, this is a fork mount bike carrier to let you transport a bike with a 15 millimeter through axle fork on a Rhino Rack Pioneer platform. This included adapter sleeve here fits a 15 millimeter by 100 millimeter through axle, and the sleeve will fit into the front here, and then you tighten this down, allow you to carry that 15 millimeter 100 through axle. Now they do also offer additional sleeves, which we do sell separately that'll let you carry bikes with different size through axles. The fork carrier right here on the front can be rotated to prevent the handlebars from clashing so you could put one this way and just turn it make one the other way so the handlebar don't hit. The rear wheel cradle right here as a ratcheting strap.You can see, take it out, insert it. more

Rhino Rack MountainTrail Roof Bike Racks Review - 2011 Mazda 3- Video

Today on our 2011 Mazda 3, we're going to be test fitting the Rhino-Rack mountain trail bike carrier, part number RBC035. We got the bike in the rack installed on the Mazda's roof here to give you a nice idea of how everything looks installed. We can go ahead and dive into the details, but first, I'd just like to point out something that's often overlooked real fast, and that's the Mazda's trunk. There's plenty of clearance in between the rack and the bicycle, so it'll give you no issues there.Now, if you want to take a look at how the bicycle itself is secured to the rack, it's a very simple design. It's very easy to use. Simply the back tire is held on by this locking strap and the front is secured by this locking fork clamp. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Tesla Model 3, we're going to be doing a test on the Rockymounts Switch Hitter Roof Bike Rack, part number RKY1270.This bike rack mounts to the roof of your vehicle and allows you to carry your bikes on top of your roof rather that having to add on the extra length with a hitch mount bike rack. It grips your bike by the forks so keep in mind you will have to remove your front tire and place it inside your vehicle, whether it's your trunk or your backseat, whatever you most prefer. The clamp system is very easy, as you can see right now, it's pretty loose. You just loosen and tighten like that, depending on how think your forks are. It's gonna allow you to carry your bike above your vehicle rather than adding on that extra length to the back of your vehicle with a hitch-mounted bike rack or trunk mount.The bike rack grips to your bike by its forks, so you'll have to keep in mind that you do need to remove your front tire, and you'll have to place it inside your vehicle, or your trunk wherever it's convenient for you. But as you can see, the forks slide into there and this clamp system keeps it tight and secure to the bike rack.The back tire is secured by this ratchet strap that can adjust along the bike rack. It grips your bike by the back wheel and by the fork of the front wheel, so keep in mind you will have to remove your front wheel and place it inside your vehicle wherever it's convenient for you.We have a nice lock up here which locks this end cap in place, so no one can pry it open without the key. When it's unlocked, we can just flip it right up, and we have access to all the clamps and locks that lock both the bike rack on the roof rack and the bike on the bike rack. This clamp right here is what squeezes down your forks. more

Inno Roof Bike Racks Review - 2011 Kia Sorento- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2011 Kia Sorento we're going to be test fitting the INNO Fork Lock III Roof Bike Rack. That's going to be Part Number INA391. As you can see, we already have a bike installed, so let's take a look at some of the features.If we come up and see how the bike is secured on the bike rack, we're going to see that it's connected at two different points of contact, one being this wheel strap on the back wheel. Now what's a nice feature about this is that this strap and the cradle can adjust along the bike rack to accommodate any length that your bike might be. Just simply just move it to the length you want, and once you do you just secure the strap on the back wheel like so.Moving up to the front and see how the front is secured, we have this clamp that's mounting our two forks of the front of our bike in, so keep in mind you will have to remove the front wheel of your bike to utilize this bike rack. How the clamping system works is once we get our forks in we have this clamp right here. more

Rhino Rack MountainTrail Roof Bike Racks Review - 2012 Toyota Rav4- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Toyota Rav 3, we're gonna be test fitting the Rhino-Rack's MountainTrail Rooftop Bike Rack, that's gonna be part number RBC035. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. First and foremost, how it's actually attached to the rack. It's gonna grip your bike at the front here by your fork mounts, meaning you're gonna have to remove your front tire to install this. A bonus here is it does come with a lock included so once you have this installed and clamped into place, you can lock it down and secure your bike to the bike rack. There's also a lock on the top portion here, and that is keyed alike with our clamp lock here, so you can secure it both to the roof rack, as well as the bike to the bike rack.Moving to the rear, it's gonna have this rear wheel strap to hold this into place, and this is is adjustable back and forth along the length of the bike rack to accommodate for bikes of different sizes. more
